Mozilla 宣布 Firefox 115 ESR（Extended Support Release）对 Windows 7, Windows 8 以及 Windows 8.1 的支持将延长至 2026 年 3 月。这已经不是第一次 Firefox 延长对 Windows 7、8、8.1的支持。
由于微软已经停止支持 Windows 7/8/8.1，这也导致第三方应用也开始停止为 Windows 7/8/8.1 设备提供更新支持。
此前 Firefox 计划在 2024 年 9 月停止为过时的 Windows 版本提供更新支持，但目前情况有了变化。根据 Firefox 官方在 Reddit 上对用户的回应，Firefox 决定延长支持 Windows 7/8/8.1 设。
12 年前的今天，微软正式宣布 Windows 8 消费者预览版可用。尽管，Windows 8 并不是一个成功的操作系统，但 Windows 8 有很多独特的体验。
